A call for proposals for joint R&D projects under the EUREKA program is open for the multilateral international cooperation of Chile (CORFO), Czech Republic (MEYS), France (Bpifrance), Israel (Israel Innovation Authority), Spain (CDTI-EPE), Sweden (VINNOVA) and Turkey (TÜBITAK).
All states represented by their dedicated organizations will provide all necessary assistance to project partners during the proposal, evaluation and monitoring phase. Moreover, involved parties will facilitate EUREKA application process and acquisition of the EUREKA label for accepted proposals.
National organizations will also provide access to public funds. Support shall be granted to each partner by its own national authority, in accordance with existing laws and regulations.
The call invites projects of all themes. Nevertheless, the special focus is given to the following areas:
- Sustainable use of natural resources
- Sustainable Mining
- Agrofood: Aquaculture; Functional and Healthy foods; Wine
- Energy: Solar energy
- Sustainable construction and buildings
- ICT across all the above areas as an enabling technology
EUREKA Project Application Form needs to be submitted by 25th January 2018, 5:00 pm CET. More information about the call including eligibility criteria and funding details are available on the EUREKA program website HERE.
The call can be considered particularly interesting also because of the presence of Chile, which joined the EUREKA network in 2017. There is a lot of potential for multilateral projects with the new associated member, a fact supported by the Czech technology mission to Chile last week, which was focused on innovations in the mining industry and organized by CzechInvest.
