The Research and Development Council is an advisory body to the Government of the Czech Republic according to the R&D Act [Code number 130/2002 Coll.]. The members of the Research and Development Council assemble at the meetings taking place once a month where they discuss and approve the materials related to the fulfilment of the tasks of the Council. Between the meetings, the Presidium of the Council meets at least once a week.
